Planned Giving
MWI's PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, MWI works to secure grants from foundations as well as individual and corporate donations to support our efforts to provide mediation services to those served by our Public Service Initiatives. These programs provide mediation services to prevent homelessness, support consumer dispute resolution, provide affordable mediation services for those involved in divorce and other family conflict who have limited ability to pay, and provide alternatives to litigation for underserved populations.
MWI also collaborates with those wishing to provide funding for specific programs to provide training or dispute resolution services to groups in need. This funding helps to promote alternative conflict resolution and training for community groups, for example, or to those in an underserved geographic area.
In addition to direct charitable donations and foundation grants, MWI works with supporters and their advisors to incorporate strategic charitable giving alternatives. This may include outright gifts of cash or appreciated property or gifts as part of an estate plan, including income or remainder interests in a charitable trust.
Donations to MWI are eligible for a full tax deduction under IRS section 501(c)(3) for taxpayers who itemize their deductions. It is important to consider your own needs before donating; please consult with a financial advisor.
