Dispute Resolution Experience
Marcia E. Tannenbaum is an experienced attorney, mediator and collaborative lawyer. She recently joined the MWI's Divorce and Marital Panel.
Marcia maintains a solo practice at Solutions Through Mediation in Worcester and Westborough.
Marcia’s background and experience in education informs her work with clients and colleagues. She is passionate about helping people who are often in the throes of one of life’s greatest challenges, divorce.
Representative Matters
- She practiced law in Connecticut beginning in 1988 as a Legal Aid Attorney where she participated in numerous mediations in the Housing Court and the Family Division of the Superior Court.

- Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution
- Member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation
- Served eight years on Board of Directors for Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation
- Wrote and edited MCFM Newsletter for four years
- Served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council
- Chairs the Bette Winik Scholarship Fund for that organization and to participate in the Worcester Practice Group
- Volunteers at the Worcester Probate and Family Court as Lawyer of the Day
- Member of the Worcester County Bar Association
- Member of the Probate and Family Court Section and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the WCBA
Lectures and ADR Trainings Conducted
- Presented a Workshop at the national Family Law Conference in July, 2011 on Safe Space: Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment for Your Clients.
- In the winter of 2011-12, Marcia plans to teach a course at the Worcester Institute for Senior Education entitled The Lawyer as Hero, the Lawyer as Lout, the Lawyer as Human.
- Trained mediators through Connecticut Mediation Training Services
- Served as an adjunct professor of law and literature at the University of Hartford and at Nichols College
