Meet Divorce Mediator Mindy Milberg

In our “Meet a Divorce Mediator” blog series, we interview MWI’s top divorce mediators to learn more about their work in the field and their experiences.

This week, Mindy tells us about her work as an attorney, arbitrator, and mediator. Mindy brings over 40 years of experience in serving as an attorney, and has represented clients in courts in cases related to things like employment, probate, personal injury, and business. As an arbitrator, Mindy helps people resolve conflicts in employment, divorce, commercial, personal injury, and probate matters. Amidst these cases, she has also authored articles for the MBA Journal and the Boston Business Journal. She also works as  guardian ad litem (GAL) to review trust and estate issues for probate courts in Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk counties. Overall, Mindy has mediated and arbitrated for more than 35 years!

As a divorce mediator with MWI, Mindy mediates and arbitrates many divorce related disputes, as well as serves as a role play coach during MWI’s advanced divorce mediation training program.

We had the opportunity to ask Mindy some questions, and here is what she had to say…

What do you like best about serving as a divorce mediator?
What I like best is the opportunity to help people through a difficult time, with a process that gives them more autonomy in decision making, is less painful, and is more efficient.

What challenging aspects of divorce can you be most helpful with?
The complexity of the decisions that need to be made, providing information about the laws and requirements, and putting it all together into a cohesive, comprehensive separation agreement. Also, helping with the other paperwork for the process and walking them through what to do after they complete the mediation process.

What have past clients said about your work as a divorce mediator?
“We want to thank you for your professionalism and thorough work.”
“All went quickly and smoothly. Thanks again for your caring and assistance.”
“We would certainly highly recommend you to anyone else. You were really a pleasure to work with.”

When and where are you available to provide services?

I am available for a free consultation, divorce mediation session, or for arbitration in Natick, MA during Monday through Friday during the day or early evening. Please contact my case manager, Josh Hoch at 617-895-4028 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
