Dispute Resolution Experience

Marcus Stergio is a mediator, mentor, and is the Manager of Commercial & Corporate Programs at MWI. Marcus mediates consumer conflicts, divorce and family cases, as well as housing disputes both within and outside of the MA Trial Court system. As the Manager of Commercial & Corporate Programs, Marcus manages the Court Mediation Program at MWI, serving as a mentor to mediators before, during and after court mediations. He is a member of MWI’s training team and serves as lead trainer for the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy mediation training at Tufts University, the MWI Housing and Eviction Training, as well as the MWI Refresher Mediation Program. Marcus also provides mediation training to commercial clients and participates as a guest mediation lecturer at the MIT Conflict Management Training, the Harvard University Program on Negotiation mediation seminar and at Lasell College. Outside of MWI, he is a member of the North Shore Community Mediation Center’s family and divorce mediation panel and serves as Web Manager for NEACR, the New England chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution.


Focus Areas

  • Serves as a mentor to all new and experienced court mediators at MWI
  • Oversees a panel of approximately 100 court mediators who provide pro bono mediation services to the MA Trial Court
  • Debriefs cases with mediators via phone, email and Skype
  • Runs advanced mediation trainings for both new and experienced mediators
  • Models mediation in role play simulations for mediators in training
