Dispute Resolution Experience
Michelle Joy Wecksler is a senior consultant with MWI and offers 30 years of experience as a global trainer and consultant in the fields of negotiation, conflict management, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and interpersonal communication. Representative clients include Applied Materials, Arrow Electronics, ASML, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Deloitte, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, MedImmune, NeighborWorks, Starbucks, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Thomson Reuters, VF Corp, the United States Air Force, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the US Department of Agriculture. Michelle also served as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group Leader in the Legal Management Services Group for Ernst & Young, LLP, where she assisted corporations in the design and implementation of strategic legal management initiatives, with a special focus on conflict management. She also assisted most of these companies in designing and implementing employment dispute resolution programs. In addition to her work as a trainer and consultant, Michelle has mediated over 1,000 cases, including business, commercial, and employment disputes. She has trained hundreds of mediators and arbitrators across the country and served as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University, where she taught graduate and undergraduate courses on negotiation and business law. Michelle is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She is the past founding Vice President of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Georgia Chapter. Michelle is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. She graduated with high distinction with her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
