Ombuds Consulting & Support

In addition to providing direct organizational ombuds services, MWI works with established ombuds to help them address and overcome challenges facing their program. MWI provides a range of options from one to two hour consultations to longer term in-depth consulting engagements that will help solidify your program and address multiple challenges.

MWI offers the following consulting and support to new and established ombuds providers: 

Organizational Ombuds Services & Consulting

  • Coverage – Short-term ombuds coverage during leaves, transitions, and to help manage visitor backlog.  
  • Training – Workshops for individual ombuds and teams looking to build their ombuds, mediation, facilitation, and other ADR skills. 
  • Consultation – Expert guidance on ombuds office set-up, creating or updating your charter, and other support.

Data Collection & Consulting  

  • Database Design – Assistance with the creation, redesign, and reimagining of ombuds databases. 
  • Data Collection – Guidance on practices for efficient data collection and analysis. 
  • Data Presentation (Reporting) – Consulting on how to analyze, summarize and present data in strategic and engaging ways that align with IOA standards.
