Title: Ombuds Program Manager
Elise Ramos is a mediator, ombuds, and Program Manager at MWI. She oversees different projects and teams, develops training material for organizations, conducts organizational climate surveys, and creates summaries of ombuds activity for MWI’s clients. As a mediator, she mediates civil cases virtually for several Massachusetts District and Municipal Courts. Elise also provides role-play coaching and mentoring during mediation and conciliation training programs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. She earned certifications in mediation and cross-cultural negotiation from ESSEC Business School in Paris and completed advanced mediation training and ombuds training. Elise is a member of the International Ombuds Association (IOA). Previously, Elise worked designing participatory action research workshops to guide social transformation in conflict-prone settings. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Dutch.
